I am lucky to be blessed with a crafty hubby! I always seem to take pictures of directional signs when I travel because I think they are neat and inspire me to look up new places.
This one is from Downtown Portland. (Notice it says Kangaroos!)
I have also pinned a bunch of theme ones and my hubby came up with this for Fall.
It now proudly resides in my front yard and it was all done with supplies from Michael’s and Lowe’s.
The lettering is all hand done using this technique from Homespun Happenings. It is awesome and has saved me so much in ordering vinyl letters.
We used 1 x 4 boards for this sign and cut them at 18 inches. We painted them using the odds and ends of paint we had around the house. We are very fond of the oops paint for $1.00 a quart etc, lol.
This is what they looked like originally, just cut and painted:
I hope this mini tutorial inspires you to make one of your own! Any questions, just ask!
